FIREWORKS (the legal kind) brighten the night on 4th Avenue Saturday night as local residents celebrated the Fourth of July.

July 5

12:06 a.m. - Caller reported neighbors lighting fireworks. Officer responded, contacted residents who were warned for unnecessary noise. Residents said they were finished for the night. 5th and Juniper.

12:07 a.m. - Criminal mischief, forest product damage reported on Cascade Timber Consulting property, 24200 block West Brush Creek Road. Further details unavailable.

1:36 a.m. - Caller reported fireworks in area of 1800 block Ames Creek. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate.

10:09 a.m. - Caller reported finding container of marijuana in the bottle return area at Safeway. Officer responded, item seized and placed in property. 1540 Main St.

10:52 a.m. - Caller reported that a neighbor was screaming that he wanted to kill his mother. Officer responded, contacted mother who said this is a common occurrence and she did not feel endangered in any way. She was able to provide her son with his medication. Also, a friend was present who was helping to monitor and calm the situation. 607 4th Ave.

12:22 p.m. - Michael Seiber, 40, and Michelle Ray, 29, arrested on outstanding warrants. Seiber arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for unauthorized use of motor vehicle and possession of stolen vehicle, multiple counts of possession of meth, possession of heroin and a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Lodged at Linn County Jail. Ray arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for driving while suspended. Cited and released. 5351 Main St.

12:45 p.m. - Caller reported vehicle swerving all over the roadway. As officer dealt with another call, caller called back to say a state trooper had pulled the vehicle over. 6300 block Main Street.

1:47 p.m. - Caller reported concerns about man who came to her door the previous day. Deputy contacted male, who said he was attempting to buy old vehicles she has in the bushes. 26600 block Rowell Hill Road.

2:19 p.m. - Theft of forest products on CTC land in area of 24200 West Brush Creek Road.

2:37 p.m. - Three contacts made by deputy at dispersed camping sites along Quartzville Road. Two fire pits dismantled and one unattended fire extinguished.

4:29 p.m. - Caller reported a customer had used a counterfeit $1 bill. Officer responded, took report for first-degree forgery. Investigation continuing. 2295 Main St.

4:42 p.m. - Caller reported confronting male who was leaning on a customer's car at All Star Pizza. Reported that the man became agitated and left on foot. Officer responded, located man and trespassed him from location.

5:03 p.m. - Deputies dispatched to disturbance between guests in 46400 block Highway 20, Foster. No one wished to pursue charges and parties separated.

5:23 p.m. - Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District personnel rescued people stuck on an island just north of Tamarack Ridge Estates, 1530 Tamarack St.

5:31 p.m. - David Melvin Buck, 26, served SHPD warrants by Philomath Police Department for failure to comply on second-degree criminal trespass charge and failure to appear on felony weapons possession. Cited and released.

9:39 p.m. - Caller reported loud fireworks in area of 1300 block of Clark Mill Road. Officer responded, unable to locate any fireworks.

9:44 p.m. - Multiple callers reported illegal fireworks in area of 4200 block of Main Street. Officer responded, contacted group who had enclosed campfire. They denied reported activity.

10:15 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 1279 40th Ave. Officer responded, found no illegal fireworks, only people lighting legal fireworks. Warned for noise.

10:57 p.m. - Caller reported that an hour before, a male went through the drive-through at McDonald's and became upset. While talking to the manager, the male spit into the business and on employees. Officer responded, arranged to talk with general manager later to obtain video footage. 2000 Main St.

11:16 p.m. - Tyler Malloy, 25, arrested by Corvallis police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in second-degree theft case. Cited and released.

9:29 p.m. - Fireworks complaint, 43300 block North River Road/Foster Dam Road. Deputy checked area but unable to locate fireworks.

July 4

Linn County deputies responded to three fireworks complaints in the Sweet Home area outside the city limits.

12:06 a.m. - Brian Pierce, 19, arrested for restraining order violation and Linn County warrant for harassment, Main and 44th.

6:25 a.m. - Caller reported a customer paid with a fake $100 bill, 1118 Main St., O'Reilly Auto Parts. Information documented. Caller kept the bill to train employees on counterfeit currency.

8:03 a.m. - Multiple callers reported aerial fireworks in the area of 6th Avenue and Elm Street. Officer responded, but unable to find any illegal fireworks.

10:45 a.m. - Dog found in area of 10th Avenue and Alder. Caller's wife delivered dog to SHPD, which was contacted by owner as dog arrived. Owner said dog left home due to fireworks. Dog returned to owner.

11:29 a.m. - Callers reported intoxicated male and female who got into vehicle at The Point, ran into some chairs and tables, then drove across the street to Shea Point. Officer responded, unable to locate vehicle described. Employee at The Point said they did not wish to pursue charges. No damage to building or equipment. Local law enforcement advised to be on lookout for vehicle. 6305 Main St.

12:18 p.m. - Deputy captured and returned cows to their owner, 26900 block of Rowell Hill.

2:02 p.m. - Cristy Jane Cromwell, 39, arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on third-degree theft, possession of meth charges, a second-degree theft charge from Lebanon Municipal Court, and on warrants from Marion and Polk counties. Cited and released. 1540 Main St.

5:08 p.m. - Caller reported that male stole items from Safeway and caller was chasing him down Main Street. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate male with stolen merchandise. Caller was advised not to chase people in the future. Officer contacted Safeway, which was not interested in pursuing charges. Merchandise returned. 1540 Main St.

5:21 p.m. - Warrant served by Sheriff's Office to Buzz Star Dodson, 22, on second-degree criminal trespass charges. Linn County Sheriff's Office.

5:33 p.m. - Caller reported that his stepson accused him of messing with the firing pin on his pistol and became irate and started yelling. Officer responded, determined that it was mostly verbal and slightly physical altercation, and firearm was not used in threatening manner. Money was returned to stepson, firearm was returned and stepson was trespassed from property. 1526 53rd Ave.

6:52 p.m. - Individuals camping on Quartzville were warned to remove spray paint from the road or face criminal charges, 46400 block of Quartzville.

7:05 p.m. - Transient camping along Quartzville was beyond the 14-day limit and advised to vacate the site, 46400 block of Quartzville.

7:34 p.m. - Dog turned in to SHPD after it was found running at large in Thriftway area, due to fireworks. Returned to owner.

8:14 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 7th and Birch. Officer responded, checked area, no illegal fireworks seen.

8:44 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 1869 Ames Creek. Officer responded, checked area, no illegal fireworks seen.

9:13 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 48th Loop and Nandina. Officer responded, checked area, unable to pinpoint location of fireworks.

9:14 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 47th and Airport. Officer advised to be on the alert.

9:44 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 4650 Kalmia St. Officer responded, male warned for illegal fireworks.

9:52 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of Long and 48th. Officer responded, remaining illegal fireworks seized.

10:13 p.m. - Multiple callers reported illegal fireworks in area of Clark Mill and the mill property. Officer advised to be on the alert.

10:23 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 1371 Poplar St. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate.

10:29 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 1200 2nd Ave. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate.

10:31 p.m. - Caller reported female causing disturbance at The Woods Roadhouse. Officer responded, female trespassed and left in a vehicle. 6099 Main St.

10:34 p.m. - Callers reported illegal fireworks in area of 1800 Ames Creek. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate.

10:36 p.m . - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of Linden Court. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate.

10:37 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of Highway 228 and Evergreen Lane. Officer responded, contacted a group who denied reported activity. They were done lighting fireworks for the night.

10:38 p.m. - Caller, who was not home, reported seeing someone pull into driveway on security cameras. Officer responded, contacted male who said he was looking for a loose dog. 1511 9th Ave.

11:01 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 2405 Cedar St. Officer responded, warned male for illegal fireworks. Male said they had no other fireworks.

11:02 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks in area of 800 block 18th Avenue. Officer responded, checked area, unable to locate.

11:05 p.m. - Shepherd-type dog found, turned in at Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District. Placed in kennel at Police Department.

July 3

5:16 a.m. - Jasmine Bultman, 37, cited for driving while suspended, 15th and Long.

5:47 a.m. - Anthony Shawn Reeder, 52, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, driving under the influence and possession of methamphetamine, Trailer Villa. Cited and released.

7:40 a.m. - Caller reported the theft of a bicycle, 44900 block of Quartzville. Report taken.

9:17 a.m. - Caller found a dog at large, 28000 block of Pleasant Valley. Placed in kennel. Dog control notified.

10:41 a.m. - Chaylan Dale Tosta, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Corvallis.

11:20 a.m. - Caller reported her vehicle was hit by a dump truck, 24th and Main. Report taken for hit and run. Damage estimated at more than $1,500.

12:11 p.m. - Caller reported a neighbor's dog broke a fence to try to get to the caller's dogs, 2200 block of Long. Ongoing issue. The dog did not leave its own property. Damage was caused to the dog owner's fence. Unable to contact the owner of the dog. Officer left a business card for contact later.

12:57 p.m. - Caller reported a crash, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Officer responded. Parties exchanged information. Occupants of one vehicle complained of pain but did not want medical attention.

3:55 p.m. - Caller reported a female driver hit a light pole, 1810 Main St., Main Street Market. Officer assisted in exchange of information. Damage less than $2,500. Damage to pole was minimal.

4:10 p.m. - Caller was in Safeway for about an hour and observed seven people not wearing masks, 1540 Main St. Officer advised store staff of the complaint. The store appeared to be complying with requirements at that time. People without masks may have had medical exemptions.

7:28 p.m. - Deputy dispersed an illegal camp, 48700 block of Quartzville.

7:47 p.m. - Caller reported he was asked to leave the Bohemian Club, 1025 Long St., for not wearing a mask while another customer who was not wearing a mask was allowed to stay inside. Information noted.

8 p.m. - Caller reported a rude customer who was asked to leave earlier was sitting across the street yelling at the caller's customers, 1025 Long St., Bohemian Club.

9:53 p.m. - Caller reported neighbors were shooting fireworks into the air over a dry field, 42nd and Osage. Officer responded and located a fire in the field. Firefighters requested. Caller did not see who was in possession of the fireworks.

11:40 p.m. - Report taken for restraining order violation, 4100 block of Main.

July 2

6:34 a.m. - Wayland Porter, 60, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment and probable cause for telephonic harassment; and Calvin Alvin Ames, 54, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to register as a sex offender, 1100 block of 55th. Both cited and released.

8:59 a.m. - Colby James De-cleve, 26, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on two counts of third-degree theft and giving false information to a police officer, alley in the 1100 block of Main. Cited and released.

11:28 a.m. - Report taken for the theft of $150 worth of tools from a farm shed, 27400 block of Fern Ridge.

1:06 p.m. - Deputy located an illegal camp, 49400 block of Quartzville. The campers agreed to move along.

2:44 p.m. - Caller found drug paraphernalia, 1800 block of Vine. Officer disposed of the items.

4:01 p.m. - Deputy dispersed an illegal camp, 44500 block of Quartzville.

7:41 p.m. - Hunter Gomez, 37, arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft.

9:12 p.m. - Catherine Hampton, 30, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fraudulent use of a credit card and cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and illegal display of plate, 1900 block of Main. Plates seized from vehicle.

10 p.m. - Joshua Burks, 38, arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person, 49th and Main. Cited and released.

11:26 p.m. - Samuel Armstrong Monroe Jr., 42, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of criminal driving while suspended, Albany.

11:29 p.m. - Abigael Wood, 32, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1700 block of Fir.

July 1

12:22 a.m.- Zachary Gene Johnson, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree theft, Corvallis.

7:36 a.m. - Report taken for criminal mischief, 1400 block of 60th.

8:53 a.m. - Caller reported someone ran into a fence during the night, 5300 block of Main. Information documented at caller's request. Caller planned to review surveillance footage.

9:43 a.m. - Kendra Lynne Montoya, 22, cited on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County.

1:11 a.m. - Ryan Joseph Hutchinson, 32, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on three counts of second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass, 26400 block of Scott Mountain.

1:44 p.m. - Caller reported that two men stole property worth $500, 700 block of 42nd. Deputy located the men, who returned the property. Report taken for district attorney review. Caller had reported she had a dispute with a trimming company. They showed up and thought she was not home because she refused to answer the door. She watched the two men through her window as they took her property.

4:49 p.m. - Caller reported a bicycle parked near the driveway for the previous several hours, 1000 block of 29th. Bicycle seized and returned to owner's nephew.

5:07 p.m. - Caller reported a theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Caller wanted the subject trespassed if located.

5:51 p.m. - Cameron Michael Wark, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to comply on original charges of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass, 26500 block of Scott Mountain.

7:13 p.m. - Mark Lamb, 42, cited and released in field on Albany warrant for contempt of court and cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and no seatbelt, 2295 Main St., Mobil station.

7:44 p.m. - K.C. Holt, 37, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and cited for driving while suspended, 2200 block of Long. Plates seized from vehicle.

8:18 p.m. - Oscar Phillips, 48, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to yield, 2400 block of Long. Plates seized from vehicle.

10:58 p.m. - Caller reported dogs howling for hours on end, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarack Ridge Estates. Officer sat in the area and heard no dogs barking.

11:15 p.m. - Caller reported that a neighbor stole a rug that was hanging on a shared fence, and a second caller reported a neighbor was yelling at him and his girlfriend, 1900 block of Willow. Officer contacted both parties. Rug moved back to the other property, and both callers were advised of future options.

June 30

12:08 a.m. - Steven Lee Ballweber, 31, turned himself in on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

7:21 a.m. - Caller reported someone sleeping in the park next to City Hall, 3225 Main St. Officer contacted the female, who agreed to gather her belongings and leave the area.

7:44 a.m. - Andrew James Frei-tag, 19, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief.

9:59 a.m. - Officer delivered medication, 5100 block of Mountain Fir.

10:54 a.m. - Luke Kenneth Dale Buehner, 36, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of harassment and Linn County warrant for failure to appear on two criminal citations, 28100 block of Riggs Hill.

12:19 p.m. - Caller reported a theft, Sunnyside Campground.

2:56 p.m. - Angela Faye Marie Baird, 33, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree child neglect, Forest Grove.

4:25 p.m. - Caller reported transients camped at the old City Hall, 1140 12th Ave. Officer contacted two individuals and advised them they cannot camp there. They agreed to gather their belongings and leave.

5:26 p.m. - Caller reported he was bitten by a dog while attempting to deliver a package, 3224 Main St., South Fork manufactured home park. Officer contacted the caller who was not interested in pursuing charges. Officer attempted to contact the owner of the dog, but there was no answer at the residence. Officer planned to try again later.

7:07 p.m. - Caller reported a loose dog, 4800 block of Main. Dog placed in kennel. Information posted to Facebook.

7:50 p.m. - Matthew James Barker, 20, cited for no motorcycle endorsement, no helmet and driving uninsured, 1200 block of 4th.

10:14 p.m. - Caller reported males took something from behind the counter and left the store, 5401 Main St., Foster Lake Market. Report taken. Loss valued at $19.99.

June 29

10:31 a.m. - Caller reported a black and white dog running loose, 1200 block of 49th. Officer contacted the caller, who said the dog was picked up by someone, likely the owner. Officer unable to locate the dog or owner.

3:04 p.m. - Caller reported the theft of three cans of an alcoholic beverage, 38300 block of Main. Report taken.

3:55 p.m. - Caller reported someone stole his phone during a birthday party at Wiley Creek park. Report taken. Loss valued at $200.

11:38 p.m. - Michael Gordon, 38, cited for third-degree theft for the theft of three cans of an alcoholic beverage valued at $5.80, 26000 block of 1st. He was trespassed from the store.

June 28

12:36 a.m. - Caller reported that a non-aggressive pit bull wandered into the caller's yard and didn't want to leave, 4610 Main St. Dog placed in kennel, and information posted on social media. Owner picked up dog.

9:48 a.m. - Michael Dashawn Ferebee, 40, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

10:07 a.m. - Ambyr Ondre Dawson, 33, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of methamphetamine and cited for driving while suspended, Highway 20 milepost 25.

1:14 p.m. - Darlene Marie Hobson, 81, cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, 1500 block of Main.

4:37 p.m. - Officer found a purse, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven. Placed in found property.

7:17 p.m. - Caller found a dog, 800 block of Mountain View. She posted to social media. Caller kept dog in her kennel overnight.

10:56 p.m. - Report taken for a domestic disturbance between ex-spouses, 52400 block of Highway 20, Cascadia.

11:02 p.m. - Jamie Carpenter, 44, cited for driving while suspended, 4100 block of Main.
