Larry Max Kent, 69, of Sweet Home died Dec. 2, 2019.
He was born Sept. 5, 1950 in Lebanon to Max and Sheila Kent.
He grew up in Sweet Home, moving to Gates for a short time in his 20's, only to return to Sweet Home, a place he loved.
He worked in the timber industry most of his life, driving log truck and later a tow truck.
He loved his cat, Newby, and really enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
He married Patti Lewis and had one son, Shawn.
He is survived by his son Shawn and wife Cory; two grandchildren, Andrew and Tianna; one great-granddaughter, Elouise; two sisters, Jan Collins and Sandra Allen; a brother, Duane; many nieces and nephews, whom he loved; and his "special angel," Helen.
Larry was preceded in death by his father Max (2005); brothers Gary (2003) and Raymond (2014).
A few weeks before Larry left us he expressed his love for each of us and said he was ready to go to heaven. We are so glad of God's mercy to all who put their trust in HIM!
Saturday the family buried his ashes. I am sure God was looking down on the scene that day. (Sheila)
