Cheerleaders shake rust in camp

Sweet Home's cheer team got busy last week with its annual three-day Cheer Camp, held at Community Chapel. Coach Amber Rosa said she had 18 girls this year, half last year's team number of 36.

"Eighteen is still pretty good," she said. "I'm happy about that. The kids are hesitant to get involved because they're worried they might not get the full expreince – that they're going to get shut down.

The girls who did participate got to work on dance moves and cheers, and some limited tumbling at the camp, which ran all day Aug. 10-12.
