Former Sweet Home resident Richard J. Roll, 82, died Sept. 1, 2020 in Reno, Nev.

He was born Aug. 26, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minn.

Mr. Roll worked 35 years for Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, 18 of those as assistant manager at the South Santiam Hatchery. He was very active in Cub and Boy Scouts in Foster.

Mr. Roll is survived by a son, Brian and daughter-in-law Wendy; grandsons Rowan and Kaiden of Reno; and son Kevin of Bend.
