Robert Warren Thorson Jr., 73, of Sweet Home died Sept. 29, 2020. He was born April 5, 1947 in Tacoma, Wash. to Robert Warren and Opal Lucille (Everett) Thorson.

Mr. Thorson served in the United States Air Force.

He lived in Washington, Eugene, Shady Cove, Lowell and Sweet Home.

He retired from States Industries.

Mr. Thorson loved fishing and was known for his specialized spinners and tackle, especially for kokanee.

He is survived by his niece, Deena Scheidt of Lowell; nephew Adam Scheidt of Harrisburg; and many cousins.

Mr. Thorson was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Earl Thorson, in 2005; sisters Karen Sue Ashley in 2011, and Janeene Irene (Scheidt) Miner in 2019; mother Opal L. Thorson in 1990; father Robert W. Thorson Sr. in 1994, and niece Cassi Ann Cagle in 2019.
