K9 scavenger hunt to benefit Gemma

The Sweet Home Police Department’s annual Cascade K9 Jamboree will kick off Thursday, Oct. 29.

This year, instead of a live festival with a wide variety of canine-oriented events, the event is a photo scavenger hunt that will run through Dec. 4, with a drawing for prizes on Dec. 5.

The event is still dog-oriented and will still benefit SHPD’s canine program, headlined by Gemma, the drug-detection specialist.
