Shirley Lynn Kenyon, 72, of Brownsville, passed away on Dec. 21, 2020 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Shirley was born Nov. 15, 1948 to Bertsel and Marie Mauldin in Lancaster, Calif., where she grew up, graduated from Antelope Valley High School, and worked at Lockheed Aeronautics Company.

Shirley moved to Nevada County, Calif., where she enjoyed working as a beautician and married her husband, Thomas Kenyon. Later, Shirley and family relocated to Bakersfield, Calif. and then to Brownsville, where she resided until her death.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered for her never-ending devotion to her family and friends, including countless hours preparing delectable meals, picking out the perfect holiday gifts, and never forgetting to seal each holiday card with a kiss.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas Kenyon, sons Bob Pines, Donnie Pines and Rick (Kitsey) Trewin; grandsons Skylar, Cody and Kyle Pines; granddaughters Brandi Trotter and Caylie Trewin; four great-grandchildren; brother Ed Mauldin; and sister Terry Meeks.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Chad Trewin; parents Bertsel and Marie Mauldin; brother Darryl Mauldin; and sister Roberta Clifton.
