Joanne Frances Jensen, 79,of Sweet Home was born July 15, 1941 and passed on May 3, 2021. Joanne was born in New York, N.Y. to John Peter and Joan Anne (Petrinec) Kowalik.
Joanne married the love of her life, Ken Jensen, on Sept. 26, 1963, and they started their journey together as one in New York, moving to Florida,California, Wyoming and finally settling in Sweet Home in May of 1991.
She had many hobbies; fishing, cooking, canning, gardening, crafting, reading and pogo computer games to name a few.Joanne was the most loving person anyone could have met; she was an intent listener and friend to everybody she met.
Joanne was a great mom and wife and absolutely adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they her.
She left us May 3, 2021 surrounded by loved ones and has left a wonderful legacy of loving resilient relationships and friendships.
Joanne is survived by her children: Ken Jensen and his wife Pamela, Debbie Jensen and her life partner Scott, Cynthia Bradford and her husband Phillip; nine grandchildren: Stephanie, Michael, Jessy, Nick, Nicole, Christopher, Matthew, Harrisen and Magen; six great-grandchildren: Aalaha, Eli, Timber, Evan, Elijah and Sky.
She was preceded in death by her father, John and mother, Joan.
Joanne had a celebration of life reflecting the beautiful impression she left on this world on May 7, 2021. It is requested that any donations given in her honor would go to the Children’s Hospital in Portland, OR.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
