Four Sweet Home track and field athletes qualified last weekend for the Oregon Division 4 track and field championships this Friday and Saturday, May 21-22 at Siuslaw High School in Florence.
Huskies Coach Nathan Whitfield said his team had a "great day" at the meet at Stayton High School, with " a lot of PR's all weekend," as the boys placed third and the girls fourth in the team standings.
It was that way across the board, as athletes from throughout the district finished up their six-week season – about half the length of a normal year – with a flurry of personal bests.
