Linn County Commissioners Roger Nyquist, Sherrie Sprenger and Will Tucker have extended the deadline for restaurant owners who wish to apply for financial assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic and state guidelines until May 28.

Linn County has received $950,000 in federal CARES Act funds and the Board of Commissioners established the program to provide $4,000 to local restaurants.

Businesses must have been substantially prohibited from operating at normal capacity due to the state’s Executive Orders 20-66 and 21-10.
