Drive-Through celebration to honor Delena Gilman June 3

The Senior Center will host a “drive-through” farewell for longtime senior exercise instructor Delena Gilman on June 3.
Gilman is moving to Maine.
The event will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Community Center, 880 18th Ave., and will take place similarly to the retirement celebration for center Director Ken Bronson last fall.
Gilman has been the driving force for the Senior Center’s Monday-Wednesday-Friday exercise classes, leading and organizing them in recent years.
She also has been involved in the knitting group and the writing group. An accomplished seamstress, she loves to make doll clothes. She also has been a regular participant in the Senior Center’s community puzzle activity.
