As I was watching the school board meeting online on May 10, I was incredibly sad and disappointed to hear about the resignation of teacher/coach Dustin Nichol.

For the past 25-plus years Dustin has been dedicated to the youth of our community. He has been a coach for not only the high school but also youth programs through the Boys and Girls Club long before his own children were involved.

He spearheaded the turf project and now the community has an amazing facility that we can all be proud of and that is the envy of many other communities.
