Huskies split opening games of boys basketball season

HUNTER COULTER takes the ball to the rim against Sisters Friday.

In a pair of home games to open the season, Sweet Home beat Sisters 50-31 on Friday before losing to Woodburn 54-49 on Saturday.

Of the Sisters matchup, Head Coach Drew Emmert said "I thought that was a good first game for us. We definitely found things we need to work on, but it's always nice to start with a win."

"Sisters was a little bit down last year, but they're always a good program," he said.

"Defensively, I thought we did a good job," Emmert said of the Huskies. "I thought our rotations early on weren't great but as the game went on it got better, which was good to see."
