Helen “Juanita” Henry, 89, of Sweet Home passed away May 31, 2021.

She was born Oct. 20, 1931 in De Queen, Ark. to Otis B. and Rena E. (Ayers) Smith.

Juanita lived in De Queen until she was married to G.W. Henry in 1949. They moved to Sweet Home in 1950.

Juanita worked at White’s Electronics for many years.

She was a Sunday school teacher and song leader at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, where her husband pastored.

She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, but most of all Juanita loved being a wife, mother and homemaker.

Juanita is survived by her husband, G.W. Henry of Sweet Home; son Donald Henry and his wife, Mary Delaine; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

A viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at Gilliland Cemetery.
