June 9, 2021
Sheriff’s deputies shut down North River Drive Tuesday evening, June 1, for about 45 minutes while they dealt with a situation involving gunfire and what they considered potentially suicidal behavior.
Sheriff Jim Yon said a caller contacted the Sheriff’s Office at about 9:45 p.m. reporting that a resident at 42695 North River Drive, whom he could only identify as “Sam,” was making comments that were “potentially suicidal.”
Prior to deputies’ arrival, another resident, Bradley Wright, 49, was shooting guns at the location “into the ground, into the wall,” Yon said.
