Girls lose two games in hoops; roster down thanks to injuries

An injury-riddled Sweet Home girls basketball team lost a pair of games early last week.
On Monday, June 7, Stayton bested the Huskies 42-25.
“We’re just down some players because of injury,” said Head Coach Michelle Knight. “There’s nothing we did wrong, we’re just down some kids. We have a smaller rotation, so we run out of gas sooner.”
Brooke Burke scored 12, Natalie Rodgers scored six, and Shelbey Nichol added four.
The matchup against Sisters on June 8 was “kind of the same” injury-wise for the Huskies, according to Knight.
