Girls win five events at state swimming; boys medal in relay

Sweet Home's girls walked away with a second-place team trophy Saturday, June 26, as two Huskies won individual titles, and two relay teams won state championships.
In the team competition, the girls finished second out of 18 teams with 243 points, 45 behind Newport, which finished with 288.
The boys were 16th out of 20 teams as Marshfield won the team competition with 227 points, ahead of Marist (217).
"What a great performance from our entire team," said Coach Doug Peargin, who finished his 50th season with the Huskies.
