Kenneth Russell Jensen, 83, of Sweet Home was born Aug. 9, 1937 and passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 8, 2021.

Ken was born in New York to Ingvald Kerr and Grace (Raynor) Jensen.

Ken married Carol in the early 1950s. He later married Joanne in the early 1960s, starting their journey to Florida, California, Wyoming and settling in Oregon.

Ken was very active in life. He worked in the oil fields in Wyoming and did creative woodworking in Oregon. He enjoyed the ocean, fishing, boating, crafting, rebuilding engines and car bodies, reading, casinos and much more. Ken was very active in the BPOE 1972 Sweet Home Elks Lodge for over 25 years. He became friends with anyone he met.

Ken was a hero to many, especially his family. He was devoted to his wife and children and was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved his family and the family gatherings, especially outdoor barbecues.

Ken is survived by his sisters, Frances Calfa and Norma Woehler; his children, Darlene (Morgan) Jensen, Ken Jensen and his wife Pamela, Deborah Jensen and her life partner Scott, Cynthia Bradfield and her husband Phillip; grandchildren Aziza, Stephanie, Michael, Jessy, Nick, Nicole, Christopher, Matthew, Harrisen and Megen; and great-grandchildren Nadine, Cyrine, Aalaha, Eli, Timber, Evan, Kenai, Elijah, and Sky.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne, and parents: Ingvald and Grace.

Ken's celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Sweet Home Elks Lodge. A potluck--style barbecue, music and memories will make for a great celebration.
