Gunshots strike Casa De Reyes building, apartments, early Tuesday

Sweet Home police are investigating gunshots that were fired in the 2400 block of Main Street early Tuesday morning, Oct. 12.
According to police, at approximately 12:48 a.m. the department received several reports of shots being fired in the area. Officers responded and confirmed that several shots had been fired.
The building located at 2434 Main Street, Casa De Reyes, had been struck by bullets, and one of the Starlight Apartment buildings had been hit. A bullet struck the front door of one of the apartments, entered the apartment, struck the wall, and entered a second apartment. Both apartments were occupied at the time; no individuals were injured.
Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored hatchback vehicle leaving the area at the time of the shots, police said.
Officers have collected evidence at the scene and are actively working the investigation.
