Oct. 30, 1938 – Aug. 14, 2021

Patsy Joe Davenport, 82, a former Sweet Home resident, died August 14th, 2021 in Lebanon.

She was born Oct. 30, 1938, in Wright City, Okla., to Jewell and Dorothy (Sanders) Holder. The family moved to Sweet Home in 1946 where she went on to graduate from high school.

She met Alfred Davenport through his sister LouVee, and the two married on June 2, 1957. This began 64 years of marriage and the welcoming of three children, Alfred Jr., Todd and Andrew.

Mrs. Davenport was a proud and loving homemaker to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a mother figure to many children who were not her own. Life was never dull when she was around. She was never afraid to speak her mind.

There is nothing Mrs. Davenport wouldn't do for those she loved. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, doing any and all crafts such as ceramics, doll making, and painting. She was pretty much a collector of everything. She also enjoyed playing games such as Bunco, Scrabble, Yahtzee, and Bingo with friends and family.

Mrs. Davenport is survived by her husband, Alfred Sr.; children Alfred Jr., Todd and daughter-in-law Teri, and Andrew; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell and Dorothy.
