Hallmark Tree sent on its way to Kansas City

As has been its custom for some 15 years, Cascade Timber Consulting, together with Ram Trucking, sent the Hallmark Mayor's Christmas Tree from a spot near Green Peter lake last week to its destination at the Crown Center in Kansas City, Mo. As local residents watched, local arborist Dave Gillott and his crew members cut the tree to the required 100-foot length and wrapped it for transport. Milt Moran, president of CTC, said a Hallmark representative travels to the area every two years to select two trees that will be sent back to Missouri over the next two Christmases.
