A Harrisburg man was arrested Friday in connection with an Oct. 27 robbery at the Crawfordsville Market.
According to a Linn County Sheriff's Office news release, the caller in the original incident reported that a man in camouflage clothing and a mask had robbed the store and left.
Deputies arrived on scene but couldn't find anyone matching the suspect's description.
Investigators learned that the man had entered the store and passed a note to the clerk. The note indicated that the suspect had a gun, and then he raised his shirt to reveal what the clerk believed to be the butt of a pistol. The suspect then demanded money from the cash register and vape pens from behind the counter. He then left the store.
Investigators eventually identified the man responsible for the robbery as 18-year-old Keian Troy Hostetler. He was arrested without incident. A search warrant was also served at his home in the 23000 block of North Coburg Road, where evidence was seized.
Hostetler was taken to the Linn County Jail on charges of second-degree robbery, as well as second-degree theft in an unrelated incident.
