Charlotte Hunter, 80, of Sweet Home passed away Wednesday. She was born in Commerce, Oklahoma to Robert and Ruth (Gratton) Hicks.

She has lived in Oklahoma, Morgan Hill, California, Wyoming, Texas and finally settled in Sweet Home in 2001.

Charlotte's working career consisted of school bus driving, waitressing, side dump driving, nursing home medical aide, and police dispatcher in Thermopolis, Wyoming.

She enjoyed cooking, traveling and animals. Her family was her heart and she loved spending time with them.

Charlotte is survived by daughters: Belinda Lee Kirkland, Debra Gail Huinker; siblings: Robert Hicks, Joyce Hicks, Richard Hicks, Ruth Peters, Roger Hicks; and daughter-in-law Cheryl Hicks; 12 grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Hunter Sr.; sons Kenneth Ray Hunter Jr. and Allen Jay Hunter; brothers Eddie Hicks, Jimmy Hicks and Louis Hicks; and sisters Deloris Clinton and Doris Zumwalt.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Gilliland Cemetery.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
