Linn County District Attorney Doug Marteeny last week joined with his Lane County counterpart, Patty Perlow, and four crime victims in an effort to seek a judge's order that Gov. Kate Brown and state agencies following her direction be required to follow Oregon's clemency laws.

In the lawsuit, filed Jan. 18 against the governor in Marion County Circuit Court, the petitioners are asking the court to "compel Governor Brown, the Oregon Department of Corrections, the Oregon Youth Authority, and the Oregon Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision to comply with the law," according to a statem...
