Fire destroys motor home

An RV caught fire near Cascadia State Park Sunday afternoon.

Flames consumed the RV and caused a “total loss” of the vehicle, but firefighters arriving on the scene prevented the blaze from spreading to a residential structure near which the RV was parked, said Sweet Home Fire Department Battalion Chief Randy Whitfield.

At 1:05 p.m. on Jan. 30, two engines from the Cascadia Fire Department responded to a fire in an RV owned by John Luck. The RV was parked at 48089 Highway 20, property owned by Bob Huebler.
