Maxwell Stachelrodt, 29, was wearing dark-colored and camouflage clothing and attempting to cross Main Street in an area that was not designated for crossing when a westbound 2011 Honda Odyssey struck him, Police Chief Jeff Lynn said. Rick Ellingson, 68, had intended to turn left into the Hoy's Hardware parking lot when his car hit Stachelrodt in the center turning lane.
