Sweet Home’s wrestlers will defend their state team championship Saturday, Feb. 26, at the 4A tournament at Cascade High School, and two Huskies will seek to repeat as individual champions.

Sophomore Kyle Sieminski, at 106 pounds, and junior Jacob Sieminski, at 126, will look to defend the state titles they won last June in the COVID-shortened “winter sports” season.

Jacob Sieminski was upset by Philomath’s Blake Niemann in the district tournament on Feb. 12 and is seeded fifth at state. Estacada sophomore Cohen Schleich is seeded first in that weight bracket, with Niemann second....
