Rookies make immediate impact in Huskies' first track meet

Thursday's track opener at Junction City was a brand new experience for many of Sweet Home's track athletes – try the entire freshman class – but it didn't show as the Huskies left coaches impressed in nearly every event they competed in.

"We're super excited," said Head Coach Nathan Whitfield following the Tri-County Icebreaker, which featured nine 4A through 1A teams from around the area. "It's hard to mention anyone specific because we did so well across the board. I don't think there was a single event we weren't impressed with what the kids did."
