Softball off to 3-1 start, with lone loss to 5A Redmond

Chloe Fairchild reaches third against Elmira as the ball gets away from the Falcons.

Sweet Home softball started off the young season 3-1 after the first week's play.

The Huskies beat Elmira/Mapleton 16-1 and won against Junction City 8-3, both games at home.

Then, competing in the Redmond Tournament, after the first day's action Sweet Home had beaten La Pine 17-3 and lost to Redmond 8-6.

Pitcher Maddie Harris had three strikeouts against Elmira.

Brooke Burke went 4-4 at the plate with a double against the Falcons. Adisen Graber and Makayal Guthrie also hit doubles in the game.
