Experience counts at Sweet Home's first home track meet

One thing is for certain for Sweet Home's track and field team this season: Nothing's changed in the Oregon West League. It's a test all the way around and particularly with teams like Newport and Philomath.

That was the case at Sweet Home's first home meet of the seaso, at Husky Field, where they hosted those teams, plus Pleasant Hill.

There were a lot of great performances, some by the Huskies, but not enough to outscore deep and experienced teams – yet.

Newport has 50 boys on its roster, 15 of them upperclassmen, and it showed as they outpointed Philomath (which has 15 upperclassmen...
