Huskies post more PRs at Philomath Invitational track meet

Freshmen represent for Sweet Home as Beatrice Reeve runs the 100 Hurdles.

Despite "terrible" weather conditions, as Coach Nathan Whitfield described them, Sweet Home turned in some personal bests, particularly from its younger athletes, at the Philomath Invitational Thursday, April 14.

"The kids did a pretty good job of staying warm and doing what they needed to do," Whitfield said of the competition, which featured some of the top teams in the 4A Division, including all but Woodburn from the Oregon West Conference. Add in Siuslaw and Cottage Grove and it was the big time.
