Baseball: Huskies can't find groove against conference-leading Stayton

Sweet Home's Alex Kisselburgh ducks out of the way of a wild pitch against Stayton.

Sweet Home baseball couldn't put much pressure on conference-leading Stayton last week, losing 8-0 at home on Wednesday.

The loss put the Huskies at 3-13 overall and 1-8 in the 4A-3 Oregon West Conference. Sweet Home is tied with Cascade for last place in the conference.

Stayton (15-4) scored five runs in the first inning, and one apiece in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. They outhit the Huskies 6-2 and committed no errors to Sweet Home's two.
