Carnival back at Oak Heights

Oak Heights School held its first Carnival in 2½ years Saturday, May 21. Principal Todd Barrett said the event, aimed at raising money for improvements the school playground, drew the largest attendance ever "by far."
In addition to indoor and outdoor activities, the event included a silent auction that featured more than 100 donated items, Barrett said.
It was organized by PTC President Patti Hankins and organization members, who volunteered in a wide variety of roles.
Barrett said the event grossed some $9,000, which brings the playground fund to near $25,000.
