Holley man hurt in crash

A Holley resident was injured Thursday, June 9, after his SUV veered off Highway 228 and hit trees and a fence, the Oregon State Police said. According to OSP, John C. James, 72, of Holley, was driving on Highway 228 when, for "unknown reasons," his vehicle veered out of his travel lane, through the oncoming lane and onto the shoulder area on the other side of the road, where he hit "several trees" and a wire fence. James was transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital by Sweet Home medics, where he was treated for "non-life-threatening injures," OSP reported. His vehicle was remove...
