The New Era - All about Sweet Home since 1929

Mid-valley youth aged 17 and under are invited to a free fishing derby from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, June 18, at Roaring River County Park, 42000 Fish Hatchery Drive.

Linn County Commissioner Sherrie Sprenger said all bait and tackle will be provided, plus there will be fun events including casting and knot-tying.

There will be a one-fish limit caught from temporary pools.
