The New Era - All about Sweet Home since 1929

A Lebanon man died Saturday evening, June 25, in a motorcycle crash near milepost 55 on Highway 20, about 25 miles east of Sweet Home.

The accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m.

According to the Oregon State Police, 57-year-old Mark Nelson was traveling westbound on a Harley Davidson Electra Glide when he crashed into an embankment. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Oregon State Police was assisted by the Sweet Home Fire Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
