Michael LeRoy Magers, 71, of Sweet Home died July 31, 2022.
He was born Aug. 26, 1950 in McMinnville to Forest LeRoy and Bonnie (Rutherford) Magers.
He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1972. He was in the Vietnam War for eight months.
Mr. Magers enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being in the mountains. He worked as a choker setter supervisor for Railroad in Hermiston. He also worked at Cascade Timber Consulting for 34 years.
Mr. Magers will be remembered by his family and friends and for his love for nature.
Michael leaves behind his daughters, Teresa Gelatt and Lisa Magers; three grandchildren; mother Bonnie Falkenhagen; sisters Connie Bobb and Gail Magers; and brother Terry Magers.
He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather Clem Falkenhagen; and his grandparents.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
