The New Era - All about Sweet Home since 1929

Ethel Yoder, 97, of Sweet Home, died Aug. 19, 2022.

She was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Hubbard to Floyd and Grace Emmert.

She married Glenn Yoder in 1951.

Mrs. Yoder was a longtime Sweet Home resident, and was a charter member of Sweet Home Mennonite Church. She ran the Good News Club, a child evangelism class, at her home for many years.

She is survived by a duaghter, Jeanine and son-in-law Allen Overturf; son Dean and daughter-in-law Lola Yoder; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Yoder, in 2008.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Gilliland Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at New Life In Christ Fellowship, formerly Sweet Home Mennonite Church, 1266 44th Ave.
