David Allen Potter, 75, of Sweet Home died Sept. 1, 2022.

He was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to Wallace and Betty (Gamble) Potter.

Mr. Potter served in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller. While in the service he lived in Michigan and Thailand, and was exposed to Agent Orange.

He lived in Puyallup, Wash., and Oregon, and worked at SeaTac International Airport as an air traffic controller.

Mr. Potter loved playing on the computer, fishing, tying flies and going to Chewy’s.

He and his wife volunteered at Manna and often patronized Reigning Glory.

Mr. Potter is survived by his wife Linda Potter; sons Sean and Nick Potter, both of Sweet Home; two nieces he adopted when their father died, Traci and Terri, both of Puyallup, Wash.; brother Stephen Potter; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial took place at Roseburg National Cemetery. Private services will be held at a later date.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
