Tough week for girls on soccer pitch as they fall to Philomath, N. Marion

Sweet Home girls soccer experienced two tough losses last week as they continue to search for their first league win in the Oregon West Conference.

The Huskies fell at Philomath 8-0 on Oct. 4, and then lost to North Marion by the same score at home on Oct. 6.

Philomath (5-3) took a 5-0 lead into halftime, scoring in the fourth, fifth, 20th, 26th, and 29th minutes. In the second half, they scored in the fifth, 12th, and 20th minutes.

Head Coach Ramiro Santana said that Philomath was "just too fast for us."
