Girls notch soccer win against Stayton, fall to Cascade

Sweet Home girls soccer got its first league win last week, beating Stayton 2-0 at home on Oct. 11. The Huskies moved to 2-7-2 on the year, while Stayton fell to 0-10-1.

Forward Anabelle Morris scored both goals for the Huskies, the first coming in the 23rd minute of the first half, and the second coming in the sixth minute of the second half. Midfielder Rylee Markell assisted Morris's first goal, while forward Amelia Sullens assisted her second.

"It's probably the team that we can most match up with," Head Coach Ramiro Santana said of Stayton. "We're about the same level."
