Four hurt in Hwy. 20 crash

Four people, including two children, were hurt early Monday morning, Oct. 31, in a two-vehicle crash near milepost 40 on Hwy. 20 east of Sweet Home.
The accident was reported shortly after 5:30 a.m.
According to a preliminary Oregon State Police investigation, 20-year-old Edwin Dominguez was traveling east in a black Hyundai Kona when he collided head-on with a silver Honda CRV driven by 26-year-old Tia Miller of Albany.
Dominguez and Miller were both transported with injuries via air ambulance to area hospitals. Two young passengers, ages 1 and 4, in Miller’s vehicle were transported by ground ambulance with injuries. The extent of their injuries were unknown.
Police are investigating impairment as a possible contributing factor to the crash.
Highway 20 traffic was affected during the OSP Collision Reconstruction’s hours-long investigation.
The Sweet Home Fire & Ambulance District, Linn County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon Department of Transportation all assisted at the scene.
