Winter's not expected to arrive in earnest until Wednesday, Dec. 21, but the weather gods apparently couldn't wait, dusting the mid-Willamette Valley in light snow Sunday as a preview of coming attractions. Here the white stuff picturesquely pelts a maple tree still in vibrant autumn mode off Old Holley Road south of Sweet Home.
