Elaine Mary Funk, 76, of Sweet Home, passed away Oct. 21, 2022.
She was born Oct. 7, 1946 in Buffalo, NY, to Byron and Alice (O'Connell) Billings.
She moved to Sodaville at the age of 3 and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1964. Elaine worked as a nanny for three boys in Calif. and at canneries before attending beauty school to become a beautician. She did in-home care, and also worked at White's Electronics for 17 years.
Elaine lived on the Oregon Coast, but spent nearly all of her adult life in Sweet Home. She had two daughters while married to Dan Carlin of Sweet Home. She then married Dennis Funk in 1998.
She was born loving horses. She loved to read, shop on the Internet, watch sitcoms on TV, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and dog, Sasha.
Elaine is survived by her husband Dennis L. Funk; daughters Genice Holley Pearson and Lisa Carlin Erickson; step-daughters Natasha Sue Funk and Bambi Jean Funk; grandchildren Caitlen Holley, Bonnie Holley, Courtney Carlin, Chance Holley, Carley Pearson, Cameron Pearson, Taylor Erickson, McKensie Parker, Kayla Parker, Jacob Richardson, Caleb Funk, Terryn McNew, Robbie Oar, and Austin Oar; great-granddaughter Dakota Sargent; and great-grandson Maverick (on the way).
She was preceded in death by her parents Byron and Alice Billings; and brother Robert Billings.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
