Markell named girls soccer team's MVP

The Sweet Home girls soccer team nabbed a number of individual honors during its end-of-the-season banquet, held Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the library at Sweet Home High School.

Junior midfielder Rylee Markell was named the team's MVP with two goals and five assists during the season. Head Coach Ramiro Santana reflected on her overall performance.

"She comes first, does everything, picks up the goals," he said. She did everything she could. She was the head and the one who moved the field around."

Best Forward honors went to freshman Anabelle Morris for her four goals and one assist. Santan...
