Terry Guy Lovely, 71, of Sweet Home, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022.

He was born May 23, 1951, in Sweet Home to Harlin Guy Lovely and Leida Mary (Williams) Dewey.

He was born and raised in Sweet Home with his final years spent in the log cabin he built.

Terry worked at Linn County Road Department until he had to take an early disability retirement due to multiple sclerosis.

He enjoyed hunting, woodwork, racing cars, four-wheeling, and building his cabin in the woods.

Terry is survived by his wife, Jan Albert; children Michelle and her husband Robert Payne, and Duston and his wife Lori Lovely; siblings Pam and her husband Bill Hawkins, and Tony and his wife Tamara Lovely; stepmother Donna Lovely; stepchildren Michelle Hicks and Tracy Stinson; and grandchildren Haley Payne, Mikayla Payne, Dylon Lovely, Brooklyn Lovely, Lexie Stinson and Lindsey Stinson.

He was preceded in death by his mother Leida Dewey and father Harlin Lovely.

Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Sweet Home Elks Club.
