An early-morning fire destroyed a home at 1170 2nd Ave.
Sunday, Dec. 18. Firefighters responded at 3:37 a.m. to find the house fully engulfed.
Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District Battalion Chief Randy Whitfield said that flames were emerging from windows and doors and that the fire had extended into the attic. He said the two male occupants escaped, but investigators have been unable to follow up with them.
Whitfield said the fire was believed to have started in a TV in the living room, which an occupant threw out onto the front porch.
No damage estimate was available, but the house...
