Girls basketball: Sweet Home falls after good start against North Marion

Sweet Home girls basketball lost two games to conference opponents last week, losing at North Marion 54-38 and at home against Stayton 51-21. The losses extended Sweet Home's losing streak to eight games.
Sweet Home (4-14) was up against North Marion (5-14) 12-11 after one quarter of play, but the other Huskies took a 27-21 lead into halftime before extending their lead in the second half.
Sweet Home shot 25% from the field while North Marion shot at a 31.7% rate. Sweet Home turned the ball over 31 times while forcing 18.
