Beverly Nunez, 84, of Sweet Home, passed away Feb. 8, 2023.
She was born May 30, 1938, in Hammond, Ind., to Roscoe and Fanny (Hobson) Waddell.
She lived in Indiana until 1955; Los Angeles, Calif. from 1955 – 1977; Camarillo, Calif. from 1977 -1993; Santa Paula, Calif. from 1993 – 2013; and Sylmar, Calif. from 2013-2022, finally settling in Sweet Home Feb. 14, 2022.
Beverly worked mainly in the Aero Space Industry. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ojai, Calif.
She loved to sing and was part of the Moorpark Chorale. She enjoyed reading, coloring, writing, and Elvis and country music. She loved being with family and her fur babies.
Beverly is survived by her children, Delores Abramson of Sylmar, Calif., Anthony Salinas of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., Cynthia Perskey of Sylmar, Calif., Michelle and her husband Joe Dilts of Sweet Home, and Sarah Ann Salinas of Westminster, Calif.; grandsons James Salinas of Hixon, Tenn., Tyler Salinas of Franklin, Tenn., Chris Dilts of Sweet Home, Matt Dilts of Portland; and granddaughter Lara Dilts of Sweet Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Salinas, in 1996; daughter, Laura Lee Salinas, in 1964; son, Jesse Paul Salinas, in 2008; and brothers Robert Waddell in 1981 and Michael Waddell in 1985.
Services will take place in Los Angeles, Calif.
