Back for one day by popular demand, Cedar Shack activated its grill Friday, Feb. 17, to serve its last burgers to a community that supported the restaurant for almost 60 years. Above, Jan Hufford places as many patties and buns as she can on two griddles to fulfill orders.

Hufford, who was working alone, had to halt orders by late afternoon because the wait time was at least an hour.

The restaurant recently hit the realty market with an asking price of $465,000.
